Mr. Simons has successfully represented many executives during severance of their employment. He initially meets with the executive to fully assess their legal position, personal and professional objectives and also evaluates the maximum achievable result.

In evaluating his client’s legal position, Mr. Simons and the client review possible discrimination, whistle-blowing or other employment related claims that the client may have and may wish to use in settlement negotiations, or a lawsuit if it is necessary.

In determining the overall objectives, Mr. Simons and his client look at the effect of severance on the client’s long-term career goals and professional reputation, and the financial ramifications that severance will have on the client.

Once these objectives have been defined Mr. Simons then assists his client in developing a negotiating a position and strategy that best accomplish the client’s goals.
