As the Enron case made clear, employees who come forward with concerns about illegal conduct by their employers are often retaliated against. This retaliation is illegal, but it happens – often.

In 2002 Hawaii law was amended to provide broad whistleblower protection to both public and private employees. Employees are now legally protected if they make complaints to outside agencies such as OSHA or the police, or if they raise their concerns internally.

If you believe that you have been retaliated against or fired because you reported illegal conduct, please call our offices for a confidential, free initial case review.
